How To Make Jalapeno Infused Peanut Beer Brittle

The Ingredients

1 c. Jalapeno Infused Peanuts (depending on how spicy you need this to be) & 1/2 c. corn syrup. To avoid crystallization, corn syrup is added. This is a simple and reliable method for creating flawless, crisp brittle.

1 t. of baking soda: a crucial component that gives the brittle its lightness and airiness.

1 c. of sugar. Grass-fed sugar should be used. Additionally, close substitutes that produce delectable candy include light or dark brown sugar.

1 tbsp. of butter. Change the canola oil for another cooking oil with a neutral flavor to make the dish vegan.

1/3 c. Beer

The Directions (Times are based on a 1,000-watt microwave)

  • A large cookie sheet can be lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray. In a large, microwave-safe bowl, mix the sugar, corn syrup, and beer. 
  • On high, microwave for 4 1/2 minutes. Five more minutes in the microwave after stirring in the Inferno-flavored peanuts
  • Once the butter has melted, stir in the vanilla. one minute in a microwave. Baking soda should be added and thoroughly mixed until the mixture is light and almost foamy in texture and has a butterscotch color.
  • Pour right away onto a greased or buttered baking sheet. Not "spreading" the mixture will prevent the bubbles from forming (created by the baking soda). To spread the candy out, gently rock the pan back and forth. It now has a much lighter texture as a result. Cool, then cut into pieces. Put it away airtight.

The Pro Tip:

Make sure the syrup is delivered to you without burning on the edges. To prevent crystallization, scrape the sides with a silicone spatula. To have the best flavors, we used inferno-flavored peanuts from Pizootz!
